Let's Walk - Bridgwater and Taunton Canal - Maunsel to Charlton

Why not come along and walk, get active, make new friends on one of our guided walks . All you need to do is book in on this free walking session.
This is a varied 5.1 mile (8.2km) level walk. The route takes us along the towpath and includes a section of the 'Solar Walk' (starting at Maunsel Upper Lock), a Lengthman's Hut, Swan Neck, Cogload and Charlton Orchard.
On reaching Charlton, we will return to Maunsel and expect to arrive at the Maunsel Tearooms between 12:30pm and 1pm, where you will be able to purchase refreshments, should you wish.
There are toilet facilities at the Tearooms but not along the towpath.
This walk is not suitable for wheelchair or mobility scooter users.
Walk participants should meet at 10:00am at the car park next to the canal, at Banklands Lane, TA7 0DH.

Please book one time slot per person. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot. These sessions are designed for adults and for children from seven years old upwards as an introduction to walking and are easy grade along our amazing towpaths. Learn a bit of history or see some awesome wildlife which is around every turn on our waterways .
Parents and Guardians are required to accompany their children on this walk.
