Spoken workshop leading to a performance opportunity for LGBTQ+ people, especially for those who are nervous or have never previously spoken in public.

Do you find it scary to speak in front of people? Do you write poems or short stories and want to read them out loud, but find the prospect too terrifying to consider? Do you simply want to get more confidence speaking in public? Let's Hear It is a spoken word workshop for members of the LGBTQ+ community who want to build their confidence speaking in front of others. We'll work together to build each other up, to break through that barrier of fear and hear each other's words.
Participants will be asked to bring something to read out loud. It doesn't need to be something you wrote, but it can be! Anything you want to say, and want to be confident saying in front of others. There will be an opportunity for workshop participants to perform at the Let's Hear It! spoken word evening on February 19th for those who would like to, but this isn't mandatory.
