Summit Care Partners, Compassion & Choices volunteer presenters, and other end-of-life professionals have been invited by Chesapeake Public Libraries to participate in their education series, Let's Get Uncomfortable: End-of-Life Conversations.Join us for an overview of end-of-life planning. This talk will cover vital end-of-life options such as hospice and palliative care, the role of death doulas, and more.
Free and open to all.
Presenter bio: Cryst'l Scheer
Cryst'l Scheer is an end-of-life doula and owns Summit Care Partners based in Williamsburg, VA.
She offers a wide range of personalized services, presentations, and workshops designed to meet the diverse needs of the community.
Cryst'l is dedicated to end-of-life education and community outreach.
A native Oregonian, Cryst'l studied for her Bachelor of Science in Sociology at Oregon State University.
She is a NEDA proficient, INELDA-trained, end-of-life doula (EOLD) who completed professional training through Peaceful Presence in Bend, Oregon, and received her EOLD Professional Certificate through the University of Vermont Larner School of Medicine.
Cryst'l is a Qualified Advance Directive Facilitator in Virginia, certified Guided Autobiography instructor, and Legacy Navigator.
She believes it is never too early to start proactively preparing for a thoughtful and intentional final stage of life.
Cryst'l enjoys road trips, spending time with her family, hazelnut lattes, and Halloween.
