About this Event
🌸 Nourish Your Body. Move With Purpose. Take Charge of Your Health. 👛
What if we could do more to protect our health before breast cancer ever comes our way?
Join us for an inspiring and empowering about breast cancer prevention, nutrition, and the everyday choices that can help support lifelong health.
The message is gaining national attention, with tennis legend Venus Williams lending her voice to the new Let’s Beat Breast Cancer campaign from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Williams is encouraging women to take a proactive approach to their health, including the role of plant-based nutrition. (Physicians Committee)
🩷 We'll Get Moving to the Beat of the Drums
We are getting the word out that women and men can take steps to avoid cancer risk through these 4 simple actions:
- Avoiding Alchohol
- Eating More Plants
- Not Smoking
- Moving Your Body
This event is a celebration of what's possible when you educate yourself about cooking, eating and overall wellness in order to make healthy living a reality.
We will dance to the beat of the drums of Global Leadership Academy, the Philadelphia High School Drumline and a surprise guest. There will be health giveways and information, a live DJ and free refreshments.
🎀 Your health is worth protecting.
Breast cancer affects far too many women, and Black women experience a disproportionately high breast cancer death rate. Yet nutrition and lifestyle are conversations that are still not happening often enough in health care. (Physicians Committee)
Prevention isn't about fear. It's about empowerment.
Join us and discover how the power of plants, movement and informed choices can become part of your breast health toolkit.
