The Wordsworths were masters of words. Both Dorothy and William wrote about the natural world. Spend a day exploring different aspects of nature and how to write about it.
Take your writing to the next level and have fun with words. There will be time to hear each others’ writings and give feedback. Explore the garden and look at details of flowers, leaves, textures. What words fit with these details? Zoom in and out. Use all senses and write about this.
Monique Gadella is an ecologist and a writer of place who got a distinction at the Master’s Degree Travel and Nature Writing at Bath Spa University. She writes mainly non-fiction, but also writes short stories, poetry and plays. She has been published in the I, the Metro, Earth Island Magazine (USA), Middle East Business Magazine, Discover Benelux and she writes a series about Wildlife in and around Derwentwater for the Portinscale Newsround. She has given several writing workshops.
