Ride the Rhythm is a community-based conscious movement experience exploring authenticity, presence & inner connection through shared dance.
About this Event

Let Loose invites us to release the pressure to hold it all together. On the dance floor, we loosen the grip of expectations, self-consciousness, and the need to move or feel in a certain way. Every gesture, every breath, every emotion belongs. This is a space to trust the body and allow it to express what words often cannot.

Like the many forms of movement reflected around us, there is no right way to dance and no right way to feel. Some moments may ask for stillness, others for wild abandon. Some may feel light and playful, while others carry tenderness, grief, or joy. As the music unfolds, we practice meeting each experience with curiosity, allowing emotions to move through us rather than remain trapped within us.

The invitation for the evening is to arrive just as you are. Bring all the parts of yourself onto the dance floor. Let loose of the stories that tell you how you should move, how you should feel, or who you should be. Trust your body, follow its impulses, and discover the freedom that comes from giving yourself permission to feel everything.

Meet Hassti Hamidi

Hassti Hamidi is a conscious Dancer, DJ, and space holder devoted to the transformative power of music and movement. As the founder of Ride the Rhythm, a conscious movement practice in Vancouver, she curates dance journeys that invite people to reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and authentic expression. Her musical style blends global sounds, ambient textures, and melodic electronic rhythms to create an unfolding arc on the dance floor. Through these experiences, Hassti invites participants to move beyond thinking and into feeling, where movement becomes meditation and community becomes a space for connection and shared presence.

What is Conscious Movement Practice/ Ecstatic Dance?

Conscious Movement Practice is a unique style of dance that is all about free expression and letting your body move to the beat of your own drum. Unlike traditional dance classes, there’s no choreography to follow or steps to learn. Instead, it’s all about letting go and allowing the music to guide you, enabling authentic movement exploration. Conscious Movement Practice has been demonstrated to help with stress and anxiety reduction, promoting alignment of mind, body, soul, and spirit. During a Conscious Movement Practice session, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for movement and self-exploration. Everyone, regardless of their dance experience, is welcome to participate and enjoy the fun.
