A fantastic evening with Andrew Mackay who is from Burnley and has wrote several books including one on the Royal Edward.
And
David Brown originally from Enniskillen now living in Greater Manchester and an expert on the 36th.
Both are experienced speakers having participated in events around the country.

The sinking of the Royal Edward on Friday 13th August (Burnley’s Black Friday!) with 38 deaths from Burnley really shocked the town and brought home to everyone that this was going to be a long brutal war! And it was! nearly 1000 lives were lost in all.
Formation of the 36th Ulster Division and the men who died.
There were a few from Burnley who fought in the 36th including a footballer.
