Lesbian Film Society of Toronto Screens: Billie & Emma!
About this Event
LFS Toronto Screens: Billie & Emma!
Lesbian Film Society of Toronto (LFS Toronto) screens Samantha Lee’s 2018 Filipino coming-of-age, “Billie & Emma”.
Young, ambitious musician Billie moves to a new town and an all girls school where her father hopes she will stop being a lesbian. She meets Emma, and the two find a connection with each other, just as a life changing event hits.
Food/snacks will be served. Open to lesbians (anyone who aligns with this term or has aligned with it), friends of lesbians and neighbours!
This screening is free or pay what you can (PWYC). Please don't feel pressured to donate if you can't but any donations are welcome as LFS Toronto currently runs as a grassroots and pay out of pocket group. If you'd like to opt into the PWYC option, grab a free ticket and send anything you'd like to [email protected].
*LFS Toronto will not accept any form of sexual orientation or gender identity / gender expression discrimination, racism of any form, anti-Blackness, anti-Indigenous racism, anti-Palestinian racism, other forms of bigotry, sexism and otherwise any foolishness. Please look out for each other and be open to feedback.
