Join Leica Store and Gallery Chicago for an immersive hands-on photowalk experience with photographer Nolis Anderson, exploring the creative possibilities of the Leica SL3-P in an ever-changing urban environment.

The experience will begin with an introduction to Nolis’ work and photographic approach, featuring a closer look at his images captured with the Leica SL3-P. He will share insights into his creative process, how he approaches storytelling through photography, and the role of the camera in capturing authentic moments.

Participants will take to the streets of Chicago alongside Nolis for a guided photowalk. Throughout the experience, he will share how he reads a scene, anticipates moments, works with changing light, and transforms movement, architecture, and everyday environments into intentional photographs.

The route will be determined based on the conditions and creative opportunities of the day, offering the chance to photograph Chicago’s iconic architecture, street scenes, environmental moments, and the energy of the city. Participants may explore the areas surrounding Wacker Drive or venture toward the lakefront for unique perspectives of the shoreline and skyline.

This intimate experience offers photographers the opportunity to learn directly from Nolis, experiment with the Leica SL3-P, and discover new ways to approach visual storytelling in a dynamic, unscripted environment.

Please note: This event is designed as a hands-on photographic experience. Participants are encouraged to bring their own camera equipment.

Nolis Anderson is a visual artist based in Chicago, Illinois. A professional photographer for more than a decade, he has worked on a wide range of projects, from local editorial assignments to international advertising campaigns. When not on set, he enjoys traveling and exploring new environments, drawing inspiration from the people and places he encounters.

Growing up, Anderson developed a passion for both science and art. After earning a Doctor of Ph*rm*cy degree in 2012 and spending two years working in the medical field, he made the decision to step away from his career in medicine to fully pursue his creative ambitions.

His work is driven by a deep appreciation for people—particularly those who are passionate about their craft. Through his photography, Anderson seeks to tell authentic stories and provide a meaningful glimpse into the lives, experiences, and pursuits of his subjects.
