Community Day: IAM a garden
About this Event
Discover together through all-ages activities as you explore the Museum, learn about the art on view, and make your own unique artwork.
Inspired by Dr. Charles Smith’s art environments and Henry Darger’s large-scale floral drawings, spend a day engaging with art that grows in unlikely places.
Activities include:
11:30 am-12:15 pm Garden Chat: Outdoor Art Environments with Joshua Willis
Learn about artists who have transformed their homes and yards into living works of art. Coffee and light breakfast will be provided. Registration is encouraged.
11 am – 6 pm Artmaking Activities in CLEO
4 pm Slow Look: Healing Machines
Enter Emery Blagdon’s shed environment through a 45-minute guided look at three of his large-scale mobiles.
