LEGO 4 Week Home School Program - Robots and coding
About this Event
Robotics & Coding Class (4‑Week Homeschool Program)
Dates: Tuesday's from 11th August - 1st September 2026
Time: 10:30pm – 11:30pm (1‑hour weekly lesson)
Location: 2/347 Bay Rd, Cheltenham. Victoria
Event Description
This 4‑week robotics and coding class introduces homeschool students to real engineering concepts through hands‑on building, programming and problem‑solving. Using motors, sensors and modular elements, learners build functional robots and bring them to life through block‑based coding.
Across the program, students follow a structured progression that mirrors classroom robotics training. They learn how to control movement, respond to sensor input, and refine their builds through testing and iteration. Each session includes guided challenges that encourage creativity, teamwork and resilience as students explore how engineers design and troubleshoot real systems.
By the final week, students combine their new skills to complete a design challenge, programming a robot to perform a specific task. It’s an engaging, practical STEM experience designed to build confidence and spark curiosity in young innovators.
What to Expect:
• Build functional robots using motors, sensors and modular components
• Learn block‑based coding to control movement and behaviour
• Complete weekly engineering and programming challenges
• Experiment, test and refine builds to improve performance
• All robotics kits and learning materials provided
• Supportive, structured environment tailored for homeschool learners
• Guided instruction from trained, qualified staff with current working‑with‑children checks
• A final programmed robot challenge to complete in week four
