Welcome to the Bars of Steel Slam – Legends Lounge Poetry Slam, Pittsburgh’s premier monthly spoken word championship experience.

🏆 THE FORMAT

• 10 Poets

• 3 Rounds

• 1 Champion

Each month, poets battle through three elimination rounds for the chance at the championship title and cash prize.

💰 PRIZE STRUCTURE

• 10 Poets = $300 Cash Prize

• If fewer than 10 compete, the prize equals total registration collected

• A Champion will still be crowned

🎤 PERFORMANCE RULES

• Original work only

• 3-minute time limit (10-second grace)

• A cappella only

• Singing, rapping, chanting & beatboxing allowed

• No music tracks or instruments
