The Keystone Centre Foundation is proud to announce the first ever benefit dinner: Legacy & LightsJoin us, May 14th, to celebrate the past, present, and future of the Keystone Centre with special guest speaker Israel Idonije, and comedian Dave Hemstad.
In addition to being one of Brandon's greatest athletes, first putting the pads on for Vincent Massey High School before going on to an 11-year NFL career, including a Super Bowl Appearance, Idonije is the founder of Impact Fund, which programs have reached over 10,000 youth across Chicago, Winnipeg, and West Africa. As an entrepreneur, Israel has launched several successful ventures across diverse industries. Since 2009, his company, ATHLiTACOMiCS, has specialized in creating custom comic content. In 2019, he opened RSTR, a boutique fitness center in Chicago’s South Loop, dedicated to health and fitness transformations. He co-founded Crypto Key Stack, and founded Impact House, a 40,000 square-foot, first of its kind philanthropic hub in the heart of Chicago’s Loop. His entrepreneurial reach extends into manufacturing with Blessed Communion, which leads the market in prefilled Communion Cups. In January 2024, he ventured into the hospitality industry with the opening of Signature Steak, followed by the launch of two more dining concepts – The Staley and Buttercup.
Dave Hemstad has spent the last 20 years performing stand-up comedy around the world and is highly sought after for his particular brand of clean humour, dissecting our day-to-day lives with a razor sharp wit that is oh-so- relatable. Dave has taped numerous gala sets at Just For Laughs, the Halifax Comedy Festival, and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, as well as recording his own Comedy Now! special. His two comedy albums “Comedy Dumptruck” and “Dad Intentions” are available on iTunes and Spotify. Dave is a regular and favourite guest on CBC’s The Debaters, won a Canadian Screen Award for writing on CBC’s Still Standing and he wrote for the 2016 Canadian Screen Awards hosted by the late Norm Macdonald.
