Leeds Technology Enabled Communities (TEC) Principles Launch
About this Event
Leeds Technology in Communities (TEC) Principles Launch
Join us at the Leeds Digital Festival to launch the Leeds Technology in Communities (TEC) principles - a new framework designed to ensure that digital care in our region is safe, compassionate, and built around real human lives.
In Leeds, the IMPACT Evidence Implementation Centre and Involve Me Digital Health Ltd have worked together with people receiving care and support and those who work in the sector to develop some principles to underpin how technology is used in care in Leeds.
Through co-production, local people explored various issues related to the use of technology in care, including concerns about the replacement of people and human interaction with devices, and implications for privacy and trust.
During this interactive session, we will break down the foundation of the Leeds TEC Guiding Principles:
- Fundamentally simple
- Personalised and condition specific
- Clear purpose: users on both ends
- Supplement, not replace human contact
- Opt in or out choice
We'll hear from Kate Lodge, Partnership Director at Leeds Academic Health Partnership to tell us more about how the principles fit within the Leeds Digital Stategy
