For millennia, art and science have driven human progress, yet today many talented artists and brilliant scientists struggle for the same recognition given to empty, fleeting content. Drawing from her new book, MOTHERS OF INVENTION, Dr. McTier introduces the Greek Muses and shows how they reveal the healing power of art through jazz, the equalizing power of science through healthcare, and the profound connection we build when we share our stories with the world. She’ll also offer practical tips for rekindling creativity in our own lives and communities.

Based in NYC, Dr. McTier has degrees from Harvard and Columbia and has given hundreds of talks around the globe to bring people closer to our universe. She also hosts the weekly astronomy podcast Pale Blue Pod.
