Join us for this 2-Part Modern Star block class! These stars can be made into hot pads, mini table toppers, a table runner and if you make a fourth block, you’ll have enough for a wall hanging. In this course, first time quilters will be creating a mini table topper.
About this Course:
This course is so beginner-friendly! There’s wiggle room on the points and very little cutting, which can be overwhelming for people who are new. The fabric requirements include a pre-cut option (charm pack) which makes choosing and buying the fabric easy breezy. The best part is that we can skip the binding- the last step in quilting which involves sewing a fabric strip around the raw edge of the quilt. Honestly, they whip up relatively quickly and could become a favorite for you.

Although this table topper is SO CUTE, courses like these are less about the project and more about expanding your knowledge and advancing your skills.
In this course you'll learn:
the basic steps of quilting
matching points
stitch and flip method of quilting
You'll also get guided practice with:
working toward precise seam allowances
reinforce pressing skills
use of rotary cutter, mat, and ruler
laying out and cutting fabric
Depending on class pace, the instructor may include other steps to enhance skills.

Runs 2 consecutive Mondays from 6:30-8:30pm
