Kinusaiga (kee-noo-sigh-gah) is a traditional Japanese technique where you create stunning textured artwork using fabric instead of paint. The fabric is carefully pressed and tucked into carved grooves on a soft foam board, forming a detailed picture without any sewing. Each fabric piece acts like a brushstroke, with its color, texture, and pattern contributing to shading, depth, and movement within the design.
This class is perfect for beginners! No experience is needed. We'll guide you through every step, from transferring your design to tucking fabric pieces into place. You'll choose from a variety of colorful fabrics to create a design that is uniquely yours.
