About the workshop
This workshop is targeted towards previous Kengido students or those who have practiced swordplay before. Train with peers in a faster-paced environment and learn more complicated techniques with some aspects of performance.
You may borrow a sword at this workshop or bring your own.
KENGIDO integrates martial arts (sword play) and performing arts (traditional Japanese stage performances) to create an innovative and unique discipline that derives directly from tradition.
An original Samurai Method created by Sensei Tetsuro Shimaguchi - Martial Artist, Actor, Choreographer for K*ll BILL VOL1 and Samurai Artist for .
Dojos in Japan (Tokyo, Saitama, Fukushima) and overseas in Italy (Florence / Palermo), Czech (Tuhán / Prague), and UK (London).
About Yusei Uchida
Yusei started practicing Kengido at the age of 8. He studied under Tetsuro Shimaguchi, who choreographed the Japanese part of the Hollywood movie "K*ll Bill Vol. 1" and holds the Italian Cultural Medal. Yusei has experience performing in Finland, Russia, Italy, UAE, Czech Republic, Poland, Spain, and more, and continues to travel the world with the Samurai Artist KAMUI group.
Having achieved the qualification of a brown belt, Yusei is the youngest Kengido instructor, and spreads Kengido while studying at a high school in Vancouver.
