About Our Speaker: Teryn Wolfe
Teryn Wolfe is the CEO of Nexture Bio. Before launching Nexture Bio in December of 2023, Teryn was the CEO at Matrix Food Technologies, a company focused on edible microcarriers and scaffolds for cellular agriculture. Teryn has founded and managed several companies, was a Fulbright Research Scholar abroad, and has a Master’s from MIIS, the Graduate School of Middlebury College.
About Nexture Bio
Nexture Bio is a novel materials company on a mission to redefine what and how materials are used in biotech by eliminating animal-derived inputs and replacing synthetic polymers with biopolymers that are more sustainable, scalable, and safe across, tissue engineering, cell therapy, nutraceuticals, food, and other applications. Nexture Bio’s offerings are built on the company’s unique IP portfolio, team experience, and skill set in materials science and materials for adherent cell culture. Today, products include animal-component-free (ACF) microcarriers and scaffolds, cell-attachment factors, and electrospun bioactive-loaded strips for supplement and drug delivery.
About The Series: Learn From a Local
Learn from a Local is an on-going speaker series hosted by AgStart, a non-profit organization supporting entrepreneurs advancing innovation in agriculture and food technology (AgriFoodTech). Typically on the 1st Thursday evening of every month, AgStart hosts a local speaker from the AgriFoodTech sector to speak on a topic relevant to our entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our goal is to offer a space to connect with local individuals and learn from leaders in our local AgriFoodTech sector on topics relevant to our AgStart community.
