Local veterans and their families are invited to League City's annual Veterans Day ceremony and luncheon on Wednesday, November 11, at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center. The ceremony will start at 11 a.m., but residents are encouraged to arrive early to hear a patriotic performance from the League City Concert Band.
The ceremony will include remarks from Susan de Boisblanc and John C. Myer from Honor Flight Houston, a non-profit, volunteer organization that flies local veterans free of charge to Washington D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor.
Following the ceremony, a complimentary BBQ lunch will be provided and served by the Smokin Revolver BBQ Cook Team, with support and sponsorship from AMOCO Federal Credit Union and UTMB Health.
*Lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
