Leadership Lessons from C-Suite at NYSTEC

Description: Kevin Owens will share lessons in leadership from his personal experiences serving as the President and CEO of NYSTEC. He will talk about the mission of NYSTEC, and he will discuss some of the challenges that he has faced assisting clients on large scale system implementations and managing all phases of the technology life cycle for clients. More generally, he will discuss the traits that individuals need to be effective leaders of large professional service organizations, such as NYSTEC. He will share best practices for developing leadership traits and will offer career advice to students across all colleges at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute. This presentation is part of the Leadership at SUNY Poly Lecture Series hosted by the Center for Business and Applied Ethics.
