Program Description
The Leadership Camp is an advanced summer program for students who are ready to take on greater responsibility and grow as leaders—both on and off the mat. This camp includes martial arts training alongside focused leadership development and mentorship.
Leadership Camp students will spend daily dedicated time with Master Justin Martin, learning directly from his experience as a martial artist, instructor, and school owner. These sessions focus on leadership mindset, communication, responsibility, and setting a positive example.
This camp is ideal for students who show maturity, interest in leadership, or a desire to help others learn.
Leadership & Training Focus Includes
All core Han Mu Do training elements:
Forms, techniques, and movement
Partner drills and controlled sparring
Sword training
Traditional archery
Leadership development:
Communication and teamwork skills
Responsibility and accountability
Age-appropriate teaching principles
Modeling positive behavior
Understanding safety and structure in a class setting
Leadership Camp students may assist instructors during select camp activities under supervision.
Assistant Teacher Certification
Students enrolled in Leadership Camp will earn an Assistant Teacher Certification, recognizing:
Completion of leadership training and knowledge of material through green belt.
Understanding of basic teaching concepts
Demonstration of responsibility, respect, and positive attitude
This certification is an important step for students interested in future leadership roles at Harvest.

Bonsai Project
Leadership Camp students will also create and care for their own bonsai tree, reinforcing lessons in:
Patience
Responsibility
Long-term growth and care
This project mirrors the leadership mindset taught throughout the week.
