About this Event
Brad Pedersen is an award-winning entrepreneur, author, angel investor, thought leader and sought-after business coach. In 2008, he founded and scaled one of Canada’s top toy companies and then merged it to co-found Basic Fun, a company known for iconic brands such as Lite Brite, Tonka, K’nex, Care Bears and Mashems.
He exited the toy business in 2017 and subsequently co-founded Pela, the sustainable phone case startup backed by Jay-Z that created an entire $100 million new category. In 2021, Brad and the team at Pela successfully launched a record-breaking $9.8 million crowd-sourced funding campaign for Lomi, the world’s first smart kitchen composter creating the new category of Smart Waste.
Brad has a passion for business, faith, fitness, adventure and outdoor pursuits and has aptly chosen to build his life surrounded by the beauty of the lakes and mountains of British Columbia.
