Show Ring Ready: Beef Cattle Show Clinic

The Beef Cattle Show Clinic is a hands-on educational program designed to help youth develop the knowledge and skills needed to successfully prepare, present, and show beef cattle. Participants will learn proper animal selection, daily care, grooming techniques, and showmanship skills in a supportive, interactive environment.

Experienced instructors and volunteers will guide youth through each step of the process, from halter breaking and leading to setting up their animal in the show ring. The clinic emphasizes animal welfare, confidence building, and sportsmanship while giving participants the opportunity to practice and receive individualized feedback.

This program is ideal for both beginners looking to get started and experienced exhibitors wanting to refine their skills. Participants are encouraged to bring their own show animal or are able to sign up to use a practice animal.

What to Bring:

• Your animal (if available)
• Halter & grooming supplies
• Water, snacks, and appropriate attire (closed-toe shoes/boots)

Refund statement: Full payment is due upon registration. No refunds will be issued within three weeks of the start of the event.

Membership requirement: Current 4-H membership is not required for participation in this event, but you must preregister.

Custodial Care: Please note that this event and its coordinators do not assume custodial care of youth in attendance. Adults (parents, guardians, volunteers, coaches, or chaperones) must be present for the supervision of youth participants.
