On August 8, Rocking the Boat students will name and launch the 16-foot boat they’re building from scratch in our Bayview-Hunters Point boat shop.
Come celebrate with us at beautiful India Basin Waterfront Park—where the sun is almost always shining, even in Fogust:
- Witness the naming and launch of our students' boat into the San Francisco Bay for the very first time
- Take a free boat ride
- Enjoy free food, drinks & entertainment

Rocking the Boat has been transforming the lives of young people through traditional boatbuilding for nearly 30 years—first in the South Bronx, and now in San Francisco. This is a celebration of what's possible when young people are given real tools, real skills, and real belief in their future.
