First Day Hike @ Great Fall Park

Join us on Thursday January 1st for a hike at Great Falls Park.

Accessibility information: This will be a 4-5 miles moderate hike. Expect to trek on packed earth/dirt and to hike up several steep sections of trail. There are rock scrambles where you will need to push and pull yourself over rocks.

A few things to remember:

• Don't forget to bring warm clothes, shoes with good traction, and water. 

• We will provide some snacks but feel free to bring your own. 
• The park entry is $20 and we will reimburse the first 10 people to arrive.
• RSVP is required as we want to ensure a safe and attentive leader to participant ratio.

Latino Outdoors activities are free and in service to our communities. Our volunteer leaders donate time and energy to plan these experiences, paying close attention to the number of people each event can accommodate. Please honor your reservation, and if you are unable to attend an event that you signed up for, take a moment to cancel your reservation, preferably one week prior to the event, so that another community member may participate and volunteer organizers can plan accordingly.  We greatly appreciate it!

Caminata del Primer Dia en Parque Great Falls

Acompáñenos el jueves el 1 de enero para una caminata por el Parque Great Falls. 

 Información de accesibilidad: La caminata será moderada. Caminaremos 4 a 5 millas. Espere caminar sobre terreno consolidado y rocas, y subir unas secciones del sendero muy inclinadas. Hay una sección con rocas grandes donde tendrá que levantarse y elevarse sobre las rocas. 

Algunos recordatorios:

• No se olviden llevar ropa abrigada, zapatos con buena tracción y un bote de agua.
• Le proporcionaremos algunos refrigerios, pero siéntase libre de traer los suyos.
• La entrada al parque es $20. Se reembolsaremos las primeras 10 personas que lleguen.
• Se requiere inscribirse ya que queremos asegurar que la líder pueda estar atenta a todos los participantes y crear una experiencia segura para todos.
