Join us for a magical walk in winter at the Carderock Recreation Area -- there are sugar maple trees there and other maple species. If the weather conditions are right, we will tap trees and the sap might be flowing, which is pretty magical! Enjoy a scenic trail along the potomac where we might see some other wild edible plants. We will also touch on winter tree identification. What to Bring:
Water bottle
Comfortable walking shoes
Notebook or sketch pad (optional)
(There are picnic tables there if you want to have a picnic lunch beforehand.)
This trip is guided with kid-friendly instruction from Matt. We encourage questions, creativity, and respect for wildlife.
Cost: $17 per person
