Laser cutter induction

We're taking a laser focus on training for our popular laser cutter induction. Sign up for induction and discover the limitless creative possibilities available at The Edge.

Laser cutters can quickly and precisely cut and etch wood, plastics, paper, fabric, and leather. In this session, we will guide you through the dedicated software, show you how to prepare and adjust your design files, and teach you how to safely operate the machine. Once you have completed the induction, you’ll be free to book and use the laser cutters at The Edge during Open Lab.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Enclosed flat footwear is encouraged when in the Innovation lab.

Participants must be over 16 years of age.

Please become a State Library member before you arrive. If you already have a State Library member account, make sure you know your login details as you may be required to login during the workshop to access State Library computers, and to make bookings for equipment.
