101 - Podcasting

Interested in creating your own podcast? Want to learn how to produce one using free software? Then this 101 workshop is perfect for you! 

 We will walk you through the basics of audio recording and editing using Audacity, a powerful and free program. We’ll also cover basic gear requirements, hosting and distributing your podcast. 

Keep the momentum going by joining a recording studio induction or take advantage of The Edge's Open Lab to use the computers and Audacity, along with other advanced audio software — all free of charge. 101 skill development workshops give you the basic skills you need to start your new creative journey.

Each workshop is delivered by an experienced facilitator and to participate in the workshops, intermediate computer skills, a willingness to learn and a little patience will see you underway.

• Participants must be over 16 years of age.

• Enclosed, flat footwear must be worn at all times in the Innovation lab.

Please become a State Library member before you arrive. If you already have a State Library member account, make sure you know your login details as you may be required to login during the workshop to access State Library computers, and to make bookings for equipment.
