Lars Nagel
Before he set out on his own as a solo artist in 2015, veteran Americana singer-songwriter and guitarist Lars Nagel cut his teeth playing in several alt-country and rock & roll bands, most notably as guitarist for ’90s cowpunk outfit The Ditchdiggers, as well as power-pop group Motor 76 and punk rockers The El Caminos.
Over the years, with his bands and as a solo artist, Nagel has opened for artists such as Dr. John, Emmylou Harris, Drive-By Truckers, Hank Williams III, Todd Snider, The Bottle Rockets, Drivin N Cryin, Webb Wilder, Jason Ringenberg of Jason & the Scorchers, Man or Astroman, Agent Orange, Humble Pie, Richie & CJ Ramone, The Misfits & more.
Nagel's new album Tomorrow Never Knows runs the gamut from ’90s-style alt-country to contemporary Americana, ’60s cosmic country and vintage folk & roots rock. It’s a largely personal, reflective and philosophical album that explores the importance of living in the moment.
“One of the country’s most dexterous singer-songwriters. Nagel has a knack for lyrical wordplay and rhythmic passion that nods to Gram Parsons & Todd Snider.” — GLIDE MAGAZINE
Jeff Jacks
Jeff Jacks is a seasoned musician who has been captivating audiences with his melodic, guitar-driven music since 1987. He began his musical journey in college with the band Across the Yard, where he played original college radio-style music similar to artists like R.E.M., Drivin N Cryin, and The Feelies. From 1987 to 1992, Across the Yard gained a loyal following with their unique sound.
After Across the Yard, Jeff continued his musical journey with a brief acoustic duo called Splinter, collaborating with another songwriter to create melodic songs with beautiful harmonies. In the mid-90s, he formed Circle of Willis, a band that showcased his talent for crafting guitar-driven originals. Circle of Willis thrived until around 2008, leaving a lasting impact on the local music scene.
Jeff took a decade-long hiatus to raise his family, but he has since returned to performing regularly as an acoustic singer-songwriter. His setlists include his original work spanning over three decades, as well as some of his favorite covers from artists like The Violent Femmes and Hank Williams Jr. His music combines heartfelt lyrics with masterful guitar work, engaging audiences with every performance.
Keep an eye out for Jeff Jacks as he continues to share his music and passion with fans old and new.
Vic Burgess
“He has the drawl of Townes, the depth of Cash and the rumble of Waits, but when all is said and
done, Vic doesn’t sound like anyone but Vic.” Marc Michael – The Chattanooga Pulse.
Vic Burgess has been writing songs for 30 years and performing in numerous bands in the Southeast. His Latest album, A Fool & His Money Will Soon Party, has just been released on A European Record label and is available on all major digital platforms. His songs have the heartache of Townes Van Zant, the gallows humor of Warren Zevon and the outlaw spirit of his hero Roger Alan Wade. He is also heavily influenced, while not necessarily translating directly to his solo songs, by the hard rock and heavy metal he has been listening to since his teen years. He can be found performing with his band The ExLaws, via his alter ego, Baz Shaw.
“Vic is a songwriter’s songwriter; he doesn’t give a shit and understands that the only thing that matters at the end of the day is the song. I could name drop some fabulous legendary artists who I think Vic is in the same League with, but I won’t because he doesn’t need that. Come find out for yourself”
– Lars Nagel, Singer/Songwriter , Formerly of The El Caminos & The Ditch Diggers
“As a rule, I don’t like to write about individual singer/songwriters for the simple reason that I’ve known too many of them. In the last 25 years, I have met, listened to and performed with literally hundreds of would-be lyrical wordsmiths and of the lot of them, 10 might have been really memorable (Dave Brown and Vic Burgess are two good examples)”
