How to grow delicious, medicinal plants at home.
Class Description:
Sip on some locally grown herbal tea as we talk about great herbs to grow at home!
We will go over a few medicinal herbs that you can grow and harvest in your backyard to use as tea or for other at-home remedies. We will talk about herbs like tulsi, anise hyssop and yarrow and perhaps a few other special guests as we explore the benefits of growing these plants and how you can use them. Bring all your questions and curiosities along with a notebook and your own mug for tea sipping.

About the Instructor:
Delilah started growing and studying medicinal herbs in 2019 at HerbPharm in Medford, Oregon. She grew up in Pennsylvania where she returned after spending a fall season out west. In Pennsylvania she continued to work on organic farms that grew vegetables and medicinal herbs and completed a two year apprenticeship program through PASA (Pennsylvania Sustainable Agriculture) at Katydid Hill where she focused on growing herbs (mostly for tea) at scale to serve communities in the Philadelphia Area. She moved to the South simply because she was sick of the long winters and wanted to explore a longer growing season and landed in Chattanooga where she has been exploring medicinal herbs in the Appalachian mountains and working at Rising Fawn Gardens since January of 2024.
