Made from mostly broken dishes, using the "pique assiette" method. Pique Assiette is a method of using ceramic shards, broken dishes and other found object into a design. It translates to "broken plate" or "stolen plate" The most famous example of this is in Chartes, France where homeowner Raymond Isadore who spent the better of 30 years covering the inside and outside of his house, furniture and garden walls (often from plates he stole from restaurants)
Class is limited to FOUR students.
$50 each
Payment is cash on day of event.
Studio is located behind my house, 1409 E. Persimmon Ln., Mustang
PLEASE PARK ON THE STREET and walk around the driveway on the left side to the red roofed studio in back. No need to knock, walk on in!
Wear long sleeves, long pants and closed toed shoes WITH socks (socks prevent glass shards from working into the bottom of your shoes). Although I provide aprons to keep you clean, please wear old clothes as glue sticks to EVERYTHING
There's a fridge, microwave and Keurig for your convenience as well as a bathroom. Bring a lunch and snack if you wish.
