About this Event

Clients

A Lantra Brushcutter/Strimmer course provides training on the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of brushcutters and trimmers, whilePA1 (Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticides Using Hand Held Applicators) is a separate, mandatory Lantra qualification for anyone applying pesticides. You must complete both courses to be legally qualified to use these tools and products in a professional capacity.

Overview

Brushcutters/trimmers are popular tools across the agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, and grounds maintenance industries. They save time and work efficiently in tricky terrains and situations. But they also have the potential to be one of the most dangerous machines in common use. Our course will help novice users recognise and reduce those dangers. You'll also learn how to optimise performance and carry out routine maintenance.

Pesticides are widely used in agriculture and horticulture. But they can be potentially harmful substances, so a thorought appreciation of safe working practices is vital. This course is for people responsible for the storage, handling and application of pestices. It will help you develop your knowledge of health and safety legislation, enabling you to work with pesticides effectively.
