Language Explorers - Sounds of nature

Venue: Louth County Library, Roden Pl, Townparks, Dundalk, A91 RC44
What sounds can we discover in nature as the seasons change?
Join Brazilian artist and illustrator Debora Adachi for a playful journey through Primavera, Verão, Outono e Inverno — Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Through illustration, storytelling, music and creative play, we’ll explore the sounds of animals and the natural world.
Together, we’ll have fun with onomatopoeia and discover how different languages describe the sounds around us. Each session is different but connected to an overall theme. Come to as many workshops as you like!
Please remember that children must be under the supervision of an accompanying adult throughout the workshops.
Activities have been specifically designed for children aged 3 to 6. However, if you have an older child who wishes to participate, they are more than welcome (please book a place for them too). For children younger than 2.5 years, the activities might be too complex, but they are also welcome to accompany their older siblings. No need to reserve a spot for younger accompanying children.
This workshop series is funded by Europe Direct Clones.
