Langdon Creative Wellbeing Workshop: Gelli Plate Printing
This relaxed creative session is aimed at neurodivergent adults (including those who are Self-Identifying). Built around a small set of core activities, you'll draw on the natural materials we have here at Langdon, combining modern and recycled techniques, without the need for prior experience.
This session will draw on arts wellbeing activities and ADHD coaching approaches.
You'll begin with an outdoor warm-up (weather permitting), then go into the main activity, with time in between for reflection, refreshments, and regrouping.
This workshop will be gelli plate printing, the practice of layering prints on gel plates using natural materials from the site plus recycled textures like fabric, newspaper, and magazine cuttings.
Notes for the session:
- Choice throughout: materials, sitting or standing, joining in or watching, talking or not.
- Movement welcome, including stepping outside at any time.
- Sensory kit, bring what you need, including ear defenders or fidgets.
- Wear old clothes, gelli plate printing uses acrylic paint.
