About this Event
Welcome to Feed, Connect, Thrive, an antenatal workshop delivered by the Infant Feeding Team at Basildon Hospital.
This informal and interactive session is designed to help you prepare for your baby's arrival and the transition to parenthood. Whether you are planning to breastfeed, combination feed, formula feed, or would simply like to learn more about caring for your newborn, you are welcome to attend.
Venue Information
📍 Location: Cardiothoracic Centre, Education Suite, Level D, Basildon Hospital
🚗 Parking: Parking is available in the main hospital multi-storey car park. Please allow enough time to park and make your way to the Education Suite before the session begins.
What to Expect
We encourage everyone to get involved, ask questions and share experiences throughout the session. Our aim is to provide a relaxed, supportive environment where you can learn, explore your options and gain confidence in preparing for life with your baby.
Topics include:
• Understanding your baby's feeding needs
• Making informed feeding choices
• Building your milk supply and responsive feeding
• Normal newborn behaviour and what to expect in the early weeks
• Developing a close and responsive relationship with your baby
• Recognising feeding cues and responding to your baby
• Building confidence as you prepare for parenthood
• Where to access support following the birth of your baby

The morning and afternoon sessions contain the same content, so please book onto one session only.
