Joy of Dance presents an original production: Joyanna and the Land of Sweets!Shows are at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm on January 18th with a snow date of January 19th. Each show is 90 minutes. Tickets go on sale to the public on January 6th!
Join us at Joy of Dance while we bring to life the enchanting tale of Joyanna and the Land of Sweets!
Joyanna, a girl who recently moved from the warmth of the South to the cold of the North, struggles to find joy in winter, missing her beloved activities like swimming, hiking, and gardening. Everything changes when the Gumdrop Guardian and Cocoa Conductor, characters from her favorite book, bring her to their whimsical realm, the Land of Sweets offering an escape from the harshness of winter.
But watch out! Farah Frost, the ruler of the frosty mountains, is furious about a human who dislikes winter, invading her precious land. Fearing Joyanna will seek to banish winter forever, Farah plans to cast a permanent freeze over the Land of Sweets to drive her away. Just when hope seems lost, the spirited Peppermint Polly arrives, ready to help Joyanna confront Farah and discover winter's hidden wonders.
Will Joyanna save the Land of Sweets from Farah’s frosty spell? Joy of Dance invites you to join us and discover the answer! Audience members will play a crucial role in aiding Joyanna on her journey with their special magic light wands, engaging in the excitement of live theatre like never before.
