This is THE class to get a new shooter started. Learn the foundation of shooting in a safe, friendly, supportive environment. Intro to Practical Pistol is for the female student with no to very limited experience shooting a pistol.

You will learn:

• Grip & Stance
• Safe handling & manipulation
• Range etiquette & commands
• Trigger control
• Getting your shots on target!

AMMO MUST BE PLATED OR SYNTHETIC JACKET. 50 rounds required (9MM Ammo is available at a discount to students. Please mention when registering)

Tuition Deposit Policy and forfeit

We typically fill our classes and turn students away as the class date nears. Be sure you can attend the class date for which you sign up. Should you become unable to attend a class, you can use your deposit for another class offered within one year of the original class date provided you give at least 72 hours notice to us. We will subtract any upfront costs we incur such as class materials from the deposit. Cancellations shorter than 72 hours & no-shows forfeit their deposit.

Home-built Gun Policy

We do not allow the use of 80% home-built firearms in our classes such as “Polymer 80” pistols and “80” lower” rifles or pistols. A general rule of thumb: if it does not have a serial number, do not bring it.

These guns have proven to be unreliable in class.

If you bring one to class and do not have a backup, or there is not a rental gun available, you will need to leave the class. No refund is given. Thank you for your cooperation.

​Handgun Course Equipment ( rentals available)

• A desire to learn
• A safe and serviceable handgun
• ANSI eye protection, and digital ear protection. (Digital ear protection is REQUIRED to ensure all and commands are heard and understood)
• A quality holster, belt, and 2 magazine carriers mounted on the belt are great but not required for this class.
• 2 magazines. NOTE: We encourage the use of your daily carry.
• Holsters are not mandatory for this class. Holsters should be outside the waistband rigid (index or plastic) until the student has demonstrated proficiency in the draw to carry inside the waistband.
• FMJ ammo is required is not permitted. Synthetic Jacket ammo in 9mm is available day of class. Other calibers, be sure you have the proper ammo.
• Serpa Holsters are not permitted in class
