The Waiting to Exhale Soundtrack, produced by Babyface, is widely regarded as one of the greatest R&B soundtracks ever assembled. There, it featured powerhouse artists like Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Mary J. Blige, Brandy, and Aretha Franklin. Furthermore, it produced multiple major Billboard hits, including Houston’s “Exhale (Shoop Shoop)” (a #1 on the Billboard Hot 100). Also, Braxton’s “Let It Flow,” and Blige’s “Not Gon’ Cry,” all of which dominated R&B and pop charts in the mid-1990s.
