Grab your handgun, hit the range, and connect with other women who share an interest in shooting sports.
Ladies Pistol Practice is for women who want dedicated range time in a relaxed, supportive environment while networking with others who enjoy the sport of handguns. We all need time on the range to become more familiar with our firearms and to feel confident in our ability to place a well-aimed shot should the need ever arise. Our goal is to have fun while staying safe and focusing on accuracy, trigger control, and—most importantly—safe gun handling skills. This program will remain flexible and evolve with the shooters.
WHO CAN SHOOT?
Ladies Pistol Practice is open to the public. Any woman age 18 or older who can legally own and safely handle a handgun is welcome. Experienced shooters will be present to assist and supervise those who are less experienced.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Practice sessions take place on the indoor range and will vary from session to session. Activities may include target shooting from fixed benches as well as defensive shooting exercises. Assistance and coaching will be provided by several club members who excel with handguns. A range officer will call the line, instructing shooters when it is safe to load and shoot, and when firearms must be cleared, benched, and fitted with chamber flags. Safety is our first and foremost priority.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED
- Eye and ear protection: Required for anyone on the range during live fire, whether shooting or observing
- Handgun: Your choice of handgun (.22, 9mm, etc.) with the sights of your choice. Firearms must be cased and unloaded when entering the facility, with ammunition in a separate container. Please bring a chamber flag.
- Magazines: At least two
- Ammunition: Hollow-point ammunition is not permitted indoors. Please bring 50–100 rounds of practice ammunition per session.
