About this Event

Join food preservation instructor Brie Wakeland Muszynski at the Edendale Library on Tuesday October 6th at 6:00 p.m. to learn how to safely lacto-ferment your own vegetables, to make them tasty, crunchy and probiotic-rich! This hands-on program will teach you all about the process, including tasting samples and a lacto-fermentation zine you can take with you. Thanks to the LA Made series and the Library Foundation of Los Angeles for making this program possible.

Brie has been specializing in creative outdoor and culinary education since 2015. She received her Food Preservation Instructor certification through Slow Food Los Angeles. She leads regular handwork and food preservation workshops throughout the Los Angeles area. She is the Waldorf Handwork Teacher for grades 1st-4th at Maple Village Waldorf; and Founder, Director and Lead Mentor at Honeybee Forest School.

The Edendale library address is 2011 Sunset Blvd., but enter from the Alvarado St. side through the library parking lot. We’ll send out another reminder closer to the date.
