About this Event
Lachlan Book Club: "My Grandmother's Hands" by Resmaa Menakem
Racialized trauma lives in the body—and healing begins when we tend to it there first.
Resmaa Menakem's powerful work challenges therapists to understand how White body supremacy, Black trauma, and cultural conditioning are held in the nervous system. This book offers both a clinical framework for working with racialized trauma and an invitation to explore how your own body carries the imprints of culture and power.
We'll move between reflection, dialogue, and embodied practice. Expect to feel, not just think. Expect practical tools you can use immediately—and a deeper understanding of yourself as a therapist.
CEUs available in multicultural competency | For mental health providers & graduate students
