About this Event
This free, full-day 5-CEU educational program is designed for healthcare, mental health professionals, nursing, and behavioral health professionals who provide care and support to individuals facing cancer. Participants may register for the full program or attend individual CEU sessions, based on their professional interests and licensure requirements.
The program addresses core clinical, ethical, and psychosocial competencies commonly required for LSW, LPCC, RN and related licensure renewal. Across five instructional hours, participants will engage with evidence-informed content focused on grief following cancer diagnosis, mindfulness applications during chronic illness, suicide risk assessment in oncology settings, ethical considerations in cancer support, and culturally responsive care for Native American and Latinx communities.
This CEU day is provided at no cost as part of Gilda’s Club Minnesota’s nonprofit mission to support the cancer community and the professionals who serve them. The program is developed and facilitated by Dr. Katherine Todd, Executive Director of Gilda’s Club Minnesota, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that no one faces cancer alone.
