LABOR DAY UNION PICNIC
Join workers, families, neighbors, unions, and community organizations from across West Michigan for an afternoon of food, friends, family, and solidarity!
** Monday, September 7, 2026
** Noon - 5:00 PM
** Garfield Park: 250 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids
Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be a union member to attend.
The Grand Rapids May Day Committee invites you to celebrate Labor Day with the local labor community. Come enjoy food, live music, games, family-friendly activities, conversation, and opportunities to connect with workers and organizers from across West Michigan.
We’ll also hear from local labor and immigrant rights organizers about the work happening in our community and how we can continue building power together.
Guests are welcome to bring a side dish or dessert to share, though it is not required. Feel free to bring a lawn chair, picnic blanket, or favorite yard game, too!
