Create the most unique, fastest, or just plain crazy "boat" you can. Compete against others in your age group, and celebrate a fair well to summer.All ages welcome!
All good things must come to an end, but let's celebrate with a boat regatta! Everyone is welcome to build and enter a boat in the race, and we recommend you start building prior to the event (some may be designing them now)!
OFFICIAL BOAT REGATTA REGULATIONS
1. Boats are to be a tri-hull construction made from plastic soda pop bottles.
2. Bottle sizes of 1-2 liter or 32-64 ounce are acceptable.
3. Boat length is limited to 13 inches (height of a 2-liter).
4. Each boat may only participate in one race.
5. Racer must build his/her own boat.
Suggestions for other material are wood doweling for masts, paper or cloth sails, duct tape, or whatever you can think of that will sail like the wind!!!!
Prizes will be given for the "Best-of-Show" in each age group, as well as the top three finishers for each age group.
