Tango-Seminar with Corina de la Rosa
Tango as encounter and presence for developing improvisation techniques
Corina De La Rosa is recognized as one of the leading figures in contemporary Argentine tango. Her dance is distinguished by elegance, technical precision, and a deeply expressive style that has inspired audiences and dancers around the world. Trained in classical ballet and modern dance, she discovered tango in 1995 under the guidance of Néstor Ray. Her artistic development was influenced by Graciela González, María & Rodolfo Cieri, and Julio Balmaceda, with whom she collaborated closely for many years. Since then, Corina has performed and taught across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, playing a key role in bringing Argentine tango to an international audience. She appeared on Broadway in the Tony-nominated production Forever Tango and performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall in a tribute to Astor Piazzolla. As a choreographer, she was nominated for the ACE Award for her work in the musical Tita, a Life in a Tango. Corina De La Rosa is regarded as one of the most influential artists of her generation — a dancer and choreographer who bridges tradition and innovation with artistry, integrity, and soul.
