The Kyle Chenoweth Quintet is a Naarm/Melbourne-based ensemble formed through Chenoweth’s honours composition project at the Victorian College of the Arts. Performing together for over two years, the group has developed a deeply connected and exploratory sound, grounded in interaction and collective energy. The quintet is the driving force behind Perspectives, Chenoweth’s debut album, launched at Jazzlab. Featuring Dean Kalaitzidis (tenor saxophone), Miro Lauritz (piano), Jack Smythe (bass), and Miles Farnan (drums), the ensemble brings together some of Melbourne’s most compelling emerging musicians.
For this performance, the quintet explores a selection of jazz standards alongside new original works.
