Kukur Tihar at Thamel (Free Dog Blessings)!

Come and join us in celebrating dogs in our community with blessings at Thamel. Everyone is welcome to drinks, finger food and blessings!
About this Event

Kukur Tihar is a Nepalese tradition where dogs are celebrated for their loyalty, kindness, and protection. We are bringing this tradition to Edinburgh on the 8th of Novemeber to celebrate with the local community and spread blessings.

Bring your dog to Thamel for a day of celebrating dogs as part of Kukur Tihar. Dogs will receive tika and garland necklaces, which are forms of blessing in Nepalese culture. Welcome drinks and finger food will be available for people attending.

The event is held in collaboration with StreetSouls, a UK charity based in Nepal that helps animals. We are hoping to raise awareness on who StreetSouls are and how their mission aligns with Kukur Tihar. We have created brochures that will be distributed on the day with a QR code for direct donations to the charity for anyone interested.

Tickets are purely for attendance taking purposes. If you could please let us know how many people / dogs you will be bringing with you that would be greatly appreciated! ❤️
