Kriya & Kirtan with Yogacharini Maitreyi & Kirtan Haven
About this Event
Kriya with Yogacharini Maitreyi
Presented by Arkaya Foundation - arkaya.net
Our Offering
Yogacharini Maitreyi is the Founder of Arkaya Foundation In India and Canada. She is an International guide and teacher trainer. For the last 30 years she has shared a decolonized, full spectrum perspective and experience of yoga.
Through mindful movement coordinated with breath you will realign your physical, emotional, mental and cosmic bodies. You will learn kriya that will be a transmission of the wisdom of the masters who have walked this earth to harmonise the human condition.
Kriya comes from the root word kri which means, “to do.” It is an action word. In the yogic context it is an action to purify so we can align with our soul's work. Karma also comes from the same root. Karma can bind us instead of freeing us when we get trapped in its cycles and expectations.
Through the practice of kriya, we purify ourselves of old physical, lifestyle, emotional, energetic and mental habits that do not serve our highest. Kriya can be physical, mental, energetic, sound based, multisensory or a combination.
Experience the positive shifts on and off the mat!
Priyesh Dhoolab & Friends
Presented by Kirtan Haven - priyeshdhoolab.com
Priyesh Dhoolab & Friends is a live devotional music collective led by Internationally recognised devotional artist and kirtan leader, Priyesh Dhoolab.
Rooted in the tradition of Bhakti (the path of loving devotion), the ensemble blends sacred mantra, authentic Indian instrumentation and contemporary musical influences to create uplifting, heart-centred devotional experiences that inspire connection, presence and collective chanting.
Presented by Kirtan Haven, a community dedicated to sharing the transformative practice of live kirtan, sacred sound and devotional gatherings. Together we create welcoming spaces where people of all backgrounds are invited to gather in song, stillness and devotion.
Our Offering
Our gatherings are an invitation into the transformative and sacred practice of Bhakti through mantra, meditation and live devotional music. More than a concert, each experience encourages wholehearted participation, creating a welcoming space where people of all backgrounds can sing together, quiet the mind and reconnect with the heart through the timeless tradition of kirtan.
No previous experience is needed.
Everyone is welcome, whether you wish to sing, dance, meditate or simply sit and receive the experience.
