Kokedama Workshop
About this Event
Kokedama is a Japanese gardening art form where a plant's roots are wrapped in a moss ball, creating a beautiful, self-contained living sculpture. In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore a creative twist on this tradition by wrapping your plant's root ball in colourful threads instead of moss, giving it a modern, decorative touch.
You'll choose your own plant and thread colours, then work alongside our instructors to bring your design together step by step. By the end, you'll have created a one-of-a-kind Kokedama masterpiece to take home, ready to display, gift to someone special, or keep as a lasting symbol of love and appreciation.
No prior experience is needed, and all materials will be provided, making this the perfect introduction to a calming, creative craft.
ABOUT GREEN-HOUSE
GREEN-HOUSE is Singapore's first and largest experiential sustainability festival, organised by Pass It On Studio. It began in 2022 as a pop-up in Geylang's shophouses with 3,600 visitors, and has since found a permanent home at Temasek Shophouse through a three-year partnership, drawing 19,200 visitors in 2025 and targeting more than 20,000 in 2026. Each edition pairs two aims that have deepened year on year: a lighter footprint on the climate, and a kinder, more inclusive society. What started as a weekend pop-up has become a yearly gathering point for sustainable brands, corporate partners, community groups and the public.
